Letters from Prison: Keep Second Chances Alive

Dear Friend,

Every morning, a woman in our PATHS program wakes up believing tomorrow can look different from yesterday.

She believes it because she’s earned it — by showing up on days when hope felt heavy, and still showing up to complete her certifications and rebuild her confidence. She’s done it knowing that someone she’s never met — someone like you — believes she deserves a second chance. Her hope exists because of you.

But right now, the future you helped make possible is at risk. Without immediate funding, we’ll have to scale back the very program that’s giving women a second chance.

We need to raise $500,000 by December 31 to continue providing education, job training, and reentry support to women rebuilding their lives.

This isn’t about keeping the lights on.

It’s about keeping her future alive.

Here’s what your support makes possible:

  • $25 a month: reentry training for one woman

  • $50 a month: support to reunite with her family and secure her first job

  • Any amount: continued access to education, job training, and reentry resources

Starting next week, we’ll begin publishing our Letters from Prison series — six personal letters from women whose lives look different today because someone like you believed in them.

These stories are proof that second chances work. Let’s make sure those letters keep coming.

Keep Second Chances Alive.

P.S. As a thank-you, every $25 you donate (or monthly gift) earns entries to win a 7-night stay for four at The Mayan Palace (Riviera Maya, Nuevo Vallarta, or Puerto Peñasco) — a small token of appreciation for helping women reclaim their freedom.
