Hot Off the PATH

Join us this June in Arizona, Indiana, and Florida as our newest Career PATHS graduates cross the stage and step into their futures.
Moments That Moved Us
Once Upon a Second Chance
Some nights don’t end when the lights go out. They stay with us–etched in memory, carried in hearts, and felt in every step forward. Our annual Once Upon a Second Chance was one of those nights.
On Apr. 4, 247 guests, including PATHS program graduates and partners like Factor 8, Teleperformance, McGraw Hill, Orbis, and iT1, gathered to celebrate the power of second chances. Yes, we reached our goal of $100K. But more than that, we raised voices, expectations, and hope.
To capture the spirit of the evening, we invited Ashlee Liberty to share her perspective. As someone who once stood in the ballroom as a Cinderella and now serves as program manager with our foundation, her reflection offers a rare and powerful lens on what this night means, for the women we serve and for everyone who believes in them.
Her Story, Her Voice
When a woman earns a certification, lands a job, and rebuilds her life after incarceration, it’s worth celebrating.
But as we know, the real story is everything that came before, and everything that comes after.
In our new PATHS to Progress series, we’re spotlighting five extraordinary women each quarter. This issue, meet Loreal Black, Dorothy Hall, Jamie Maloy, Cari Peddycord and Crystal Reeves. Their stories move us because they speak to resilience in the face of setbacks, courage in moments of doubt, and the quiet determination to build a better life. They are blueprints for what’s possible when generosity meets opportunity.
2024 Impact Report Released
What does change really look like? It looks like hundreds of justice-impacted women walking through doors once closed to them…and holding those doors open for others.
Our 2024 Impact Report is a living snapshot of that transformation. Every number tells a story of growth, resilience, and the power of second chances. And the journey hasn’t stopped—this June, we crossed the milestone of 1,000 women graduated through our PATHS programs.
With our foundation by their side, these women didn’t just reenter society, they redefined it.
Know someone who believes in second chances? Share the report with a friend, colleague, or partner. Every share grows the movement, and brings more women along for the journey.

On the Road with Michelle
When it comes to advocating for second chances, Michelle Cirocco doesn’t slow down.
This spring, our executive director is taking the message of transformation nationwide! Here’s where she’s headed next:
- The Last Mile Radio, Los Angeles, CA: Michelle will follow a lineup of changemakers to share powerful, perspective-shifting stories from the justice reform movement, including her own. She’ll be joined by Televerde Foundation alum April Bosworth as they reflect on their shared journey from incarceration to impact.
- American Correctional Association Conference, Denver, CO: Michelle will contribute to conversations around reentry, workforce development, and prison programming, helping shape smarter, more compassionate policies.
- Principled Business Summit, New York City, NY: Alongside values-driven business leaders, Michelle will explore how purpose-driven leadership can open real pathways to opportunity for justice-impacted individuals.

Power Moves
We’re proud to announce a new research partnership with the Wilson Sheehan Lab for Economic Opportunities (LEO) at the University of Notre Dame. Together, we’ll be using randomized controlled trials—the gold standard in research—to evaluate the effectiveness of our Career PATHS programs.
Launched in 2024, the study will focus on outcomes like reduced recidivism, higher employment rates, and increased economic mobility among program participants in Arizona and Indiana. The data collected will provide clear, measurable evidence of our program’s impact.
This research won’t just validate our model, it will strengthen our case for policy advocacy, open doors to new funding, and guide how we scale. Most of all, it will help prove that second chances aren’t just the right thing to do, they work!

What's Ahead
Mark your calendar for Friday, Nov. 14. We’re heading to Stonecreek Golf Course in Phoenix for our fourth annual Swing for Second Chances Charity Golf Outing, and trust us, this isn’t your average day on the green.
This is where second chances get real–where you’ll hear raw, powerful stories from women who’ve turned their lives around, where high-fives and hugs are just as common as birdies and bogeys, where community, purpose, and a little healthy competition come together to do something that actually matters.
Last year, you showed up big, raising critical funds that helped women rebuild their lives. This year? We’re going even bigger. More impact. More connection. More stories that stay with you long after the final hole.
Ready to tee off for transformation? We’ll see you there!
Powered by Partnership
Every milestone we hit is fueled by the people and organizations who believe in what we do.
From expanding our reach in Indiana to launching inclusive new cohorts, none of it would be possible without the support of mission-aligned partners like Hickman’s Family Farms, McGraw Hill, and so many others who show up, stand with us, and invest in second chances.
Because when we work together, we go further, and bring more women with us.
Every certification earned. Every job secured. Every life transformed — it all starts with you. Your belief in second chances fuels this movement and creates real, lasting change.
Together, we’re not just giving second chances. We’re building better futures.
