Once Upon a Second Chance
An evening that celebrates what’s possible when opportunity meets support.
Once Upon a Second Chance returns on Saturday, Apr. 18, bringing together supporters, partners, and community leaders for an evening where second chances feel real, personal, and urgent. It’s not your typical event. It’s a celebration of women who have done the work to rebuild their lives and the people who chose to stand with them.
“To be chosen as a Cinderella was surreal. It wasn’t just about where I came from; it was about who I’ve become. Being recognized by the people I work with made it even more meaningful.”
— Crystal Reeves, PATHS graduate and 2025 Cinderella
Employment Partners: We Need You
This year, we’re opening the doors again and inviting our employment partners to nominate a Cinderella to recognize the women on your teams whose growth, leadership, and resilience deserve to be celebrated. You see their transformation every day. Now’s your chance to honor it.
Whether you attend, sponsor, or nominate a Cinderella, your presence helps make these moments and futures possible.

Letters From Prison
Written before the door opens
These are letters written from inside prison walls by women who are studying, preparing, and imagining a life they haven’t lived yet. Some are still inside; some are home now. What they share is that they are in the middle of becoming something new.
They write about fear and hope and trying again. They want you to know what it means to have someone believe in you when the stakes are real.
The videos capture the same truth: second chances don’t happen all at once. They’re built, step by step, with education, mentorship, and your support.
Sustained support helps ensure women can stay focused on school, prepare for careers, and return home with a plan for what comes next.
Read their words. Watch their faces. Share their stories. Your support helps turn these moments into futures.

Milestones That Matter
Graduations and Incoming Cohorts
Where one chapter ends, another begins.

PATHS graduates in Arizona celebrating the completion of their program.
In recent weeks, PATHS rooms have been filled with emotions, pride, relief, and the quiet confidence that comes from finishing something hard. Women presented capstone projects they spent months building, completed their career tracks, and shared their visions for the future out loud before crossing the stage at graduation. This marked the completion of their reentry programs and the start of life back home.
As those chapters closed, new ones began. Forty women in Arizona and 60 women in Indiana stepped into PATHS, joining incoming cohorts and following in the footsteps of women who came before them. Those women proved that this work matters and that change is possible.
Together, these moments tell the PATHS story: progress in motion. Women building skills, preparing for what’s next, and moving forward with support thanks to you.

Mom’s House
A soft landing when it matters most
Coming home isn’t always easy, and for some women, there’s no family home waiting. That’s where Mom’s House comes in. It’s a place to pause, unpack, and take a real breath before figuring out what’s next. There’s no pressure, just stability, safety, and room to reset.
Working hand in hand with Televerde Foundation’s PATHS program, Mom’s House supports women as they move from preparation inside to independence outside. This home exists because of strong partners like The Worker and Lowe’s and a shared belief that rebuilding a life starts with a door that opens when you need it most.

Swing Fore Second Chances
Community shows up in many ways, and sometimes, it looks like a day on the course with a shared purpose. Swing Fore Second Chances brought supporters together at Stonecreek Golf Course for a day rooted in generosity, connection, and belief in what’s possible when women are given real opportunity.
Because of that support, the sold-out event raised over $82,000, helping advance Televerde Foundation’s goal of reaching 500 women this year with education, career preparation, and reentry support. We’re already looking ahead. Save the date for this year’s tournament on Friday, October 9, at Legacy Golf Resort in Phoenix.
When people come together around second chances, the impact reaches far beyond the fairway.
Our Work is Getting Noticed
Because it’s working
When programs actually change outcomes, people take notice.
FOX 59 recently featured Televerde Foundation’s work reducing recidivism in Indiana, highlighting how our PATHS reentry and workforce development programs are transforming outcomes for justice-impacted women both inside prison and after release. According to a new report by the UMass Donahue Institute’s Economic & Public Policy Research Group, our Indiana programs have reduced recidivism by 87.5% compared to the state average, demonstrating measurable impact alongside powerful, personal stories of resilience and second chances.
We were also recognized by Arizona Business for our work empowering women with education, career readiness, and support before and after release — a reflection of the real results our community, partners, and supporters help make possible.
Across states, women who complete PATHS are returning home with skills, confidence, and measurable results that strengthen families, stabilize communities, and open pathways to meaningful employment.

Holiday Joy for Kids

Holiday joy for a child in a PATHS family.
This season, MHG Commercial Realty’s Hope for the Holidays showed up for nine PATHS families, helping make the holidays feel lighter, warmer, and full of joy. For parents navigating reentry and rebuilding stability, that support meant more than gifts. It meant relief, dignity, and a reminder that they’re not alone.
Families shared how meaningful it was to watch their children light up and feel like kids again. As one mother reflected:
“Your support let them just be kids again…laughing, smiling, and feeling special. You helped ease some very real worries and created memories we’ll hold onto for a long time.”
Another parent shared how seeing the joy on her child’s face made the season feel special again: “Creating memories my family will carry forward.”
Moments like these remind us that when communities show up with care, they change how a season feels, and how families move forward.

Michelle’s New Book
The Second Chance Advantage
Michelle didn’t write this book to tell a success story. She wrote it because she’s lived the other side of the story and knows how much talent gets written off before it ever gets a chance.
The Second Chance Advantage pulls from Michelle’s own experience: returning home after incarceration, building a career, and helping grow Televerde into a business that proves second chances and strong performance aren’t opposites…they’re connected. The book is practical, honest, and grounded in real moments, not theory.
If the ideas feel familiar, it’s because they’re the same ones that shape Televerde Foundation’s work every day: that dignity matters, opportunity changes outcomes, and when women are supported, families and communities are stronger for it. Proceeds from the book go directly back into that work.

Youth Leadership in Action: Analiese Alexander

Analiese Alexander with Michelle Cirocco.
Some people help out when it’s convenient. Analiese Alexander shows up because she cares.
While still in her teens, Analiese has become a steady presence across Televerde Foundation at events, at Mom’s House, during our Backpack Drive, and in the many quiet moments that don’t make headlines but matter deeply. She brings kindness, reliability, and an instinct to step in wherever help is needed. And she does it without being asked or expecting anything in return.
That kind of leadership doesn’t go unnoticed. Recently, Analiese was honored with the Governor’s Inspired Youth Leadership Award by Katie Hobbs. It’s recognition for the way she shows up with thoughtfulness, generosity, and heart.
We’re incredibly proud of Analiese. More than that, we’re grateful to know her, work alongside her, and watch the kind of leader she’s already becoming.
